NOVA SCOTIA PHOTOS......

I'm posting some photos of our getaway last weekend......and I will see what else I can come up with....
This "little guy".....crossed the road in front of us, while DH and I were off for a drive on our getaway last weekend....

This was taken early one morning from the deck of the cabin we stayed at....beautiful sunrise, and it was actually warm enough to enjoy my morning coffee outside.....
This was the cabin we stayed at....it was SO nice...we were literally on the side of a mountain.....looking down.....
Thus was taken from the deck of our cabin...it was on our actual anniversary, we were getting ready to go down the mountain to the Inn for dinner.

Passed this scenery on our drive one day last week.....

Have a great day everyone.....I think I will try and photograph my stitching WIP's today......

ANYONE STILL OUT THERE????

I have been gone from my own Blog for a shameful amount of time!!! I kept saying..."I must post...I must post..."....and I did not.
I have been trying to keep up with reading all the wonderful stitching Blogs out there...and fantastic stitching produced......
I have been stitching these past few months....and knitting.....and occasionally working on a Swedish Woven blanket....
At present, I am working on Plum Street Samplers..."The Flood".....and "My Brother's Keeper"......pictures will follow in the next post...I promise.....
This past week my DH and I celebrated our 25th anniversary, and for the first time EVER, we went away without the kids or any animals.....we went to another part of Nova Scotia...and had the most fantastic time!!
(Will send along a photo or two of that).
Since my last post, I have also had a Birthday, my son graduated High School, and started community college,my oldest daughter graduated community college... and our youngest daughter started grade 10.
Isn't this gorgeous?  This was taken while on our mini vacation last week...

Larry and I on our 25th.......

A change or two to my  sampler wall...and I'm almost ready to add another....

If you are still reading my poor, poor blog, leave a comment and let me know!!  Thanks!!

I just HAD to post....

Nicola, over at http://stitchingbyacornishseashore.blogspot.com/ is having a competition, and well, I just HAD to post a couple of photos of Hemi....he is really quite hilarious when it comes to his sleeping positions.....the first one...he fell asleep on my youngest daughter when she had her legs out like this........
And this is his usual sleeping position in his kennel.......
As for the stitching front, I have been stitching here and there......a couple of smalls with nothing to speak of to show at the moment....I do have a framing to show you though! I just LOVE how this turned out....and also I thought I'd show you a photo (sorry for the poor quality, it's hard to get a photo of this wall)...of my stitching wall.....
Enjoy your day everyone!!

The Fall of Man......

Good morning from Nova Scotia!!!
I fell in love with this older "Plum Street Sampler" design, the first time I found it while browsing the web. I had to have it to add to my ever growing obsession of Paulette's designs....I got it, and started it, and am almost finished with it....my goal is to take it to get framed later this week
Not sure what is going on with the colour....the actual colour is somewhere in between both photos. It is dark out once again today, so it's not great for taking photos!
Last week was a busy week here in this household.....my oldest turned 21........I worked extra hours at my part-time job (I am a card merchandiser for American Greetings).....and the general getting back into a routine thing going on......this week probably won't be much different.
Any of you fellow stitchers collectors? I am a collector....I love collecting things, and adding to my collections...it's the thrill of the hunt, you know what I mean? Recently, (okay, a few months ago)....I started collecting flower frogs and scissors.....this is one of my flower frogs, with my "black" scissors displayed. Sadly, my family does not see my obsession with scissors or flower frogs....LOL.....
At any rate, must get my day started around here......possibly a venture out into our large back yard with the puppy, to burn off some of his energy....and then stitch for a while, while waiting for the cable guy to arrive to change something....
Have a great day everyone!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Yup, it's me....the hopeless Blogger!!! Figured I would start the New Year right! I HAVE been reading my favourite Blogs, but most time I cannot comment, I have no idea why...something to do with the settings on my computer I think, but I can't figure it out.......
I won't bore everyone with all that's been happening around here......it's been typical.
We did loose our beloved border collie on Novenber 17th. We were all devasted! Nallie-dog was my friend...I loved her dearly...she was a unique and wonderful dog.(she was 13 1/2 and healthy until just about the end....) It was especially hard on my youngest....she grew up with Nallie and had no idea what life was like without her.....there was a lot of crying from everyone in the family that week...(and since....). We did however, add to our family with Hemi....who is now called "Herman" more than Hemi....he is a 5 month old pekingese/chihuahua...and he's adorable. It helps to have him...I could not imagine a house where a dog did not greet me at the door! We didn't get him to REPLACE Nallie, but to add to our household.
We had a great Holiday......the weather was mild and wonderful around here....no problems with travelling around the area at all.....
I made a swedish weave blanket, which was a Christmas gift to a dear friend....and I managed to finish up TWO cross-stitch pieces and get them professionally framed.
Please excuse the bad photos! While the weather is mild, and great for travelling, it is dark and rainy and not good for photos!
And that fellow Bloggers is my last few months in a nutshell!!!
Happy New Year to everyone!!
